An inquiry about a small puppy found in a bird cage in someone's yard came to the Mladenovac, Serbia, Dog Rescue Shelter. A filthy water bowl and the one-month-old dog were placed inside the bird cage, which was set up outside.
The dog began to cry and wag her tail as soon as she saw her rescuers.

Milan knocked on the puppy's home's door to try to speak with the owners, but no one answered. Milan was representing Dog Rescue Shelter. Milan shook his head in disgust, unable to believe the puppy was being kept in such an unprotected, outside environment.
He grabbed the puppy out of her cage and returned her to his shelter because he could not let her undergo such treatment.

After she recovered sufficiently, "Mini" was adopted by a beautiful family of three girls who treat Mini like a canine princess.
(It should be mentioned that we are not fully aware of the circumstances surrounding the puppy's relocation from her previous home. The animal shelter reportedly received a call from residents.

It is not known, however, whether the owners were informed prior to or after the video was taken, or if animal control authorities were informed about the evacuation of the puppy before this video. One of the few non-profit, no-kill animal shelters in Serbia, however, Dog Rescue Shelter has been operating there since 2007.
