A retired police dog sheds tears of joy when he reunites with his former handler, expressing deep emotional connection and happiness

Prepare some Kleenex because this heartbreaking tale will undoubtedly make you cry. When a retired police dog was reunited with his former manager, it was an emotional moment.

In Xichuan, Henan Province, central China, an eight-year-old German shepherd named Wang Wang serves as a sniffer dog at a security checkpoint.

After retiring in June 2019 and locating a permanent residence where he may live out the rest of his days, he will part ways with his agency.

A police officer who used to be Matan Wangwang's old manager made the decision to surprise the canine friend by paying him a visit while on patrol close to Wangwang's home last month.

Wang Wang is being approached by police in a recent video that was recently shared on the Xichuan police Douyin account, the Chinese version of TikTok.

Wang Wang hurried out the front door and into the arms of the old agent after hearing the agent's summons.

At the side of his former owner, Wang Wang licked his legs while he grieved.

Wang Wang stayed behind his manager the entire time as the patrol made their way back to their vehicle.

The note read, "Wang Wang's hair greyed, but he was full and plump." It's never easy to say good-bye to friends.

As they saw the touching reunion of the loyal dog and the dog trainer, internet users' hearts began to warm.

One user wrote, "Dogs are faithful friends, treat them right!"

One more added, "You can tell Wangwang misses his handler."

The amorous reunion left several people baffled as to why Wang Wang and his agency are not allowed to be together.

In response, Xichuan police said, "Police dogs are typically fed at the training center, but our officers cannot spend their time playing or exercising with retired dogs."

They will receive greater care at home than in a training center.
